About Me

My name is Laura and I am excited to start back up doing home daycare again! I was licensed for 2.5 years and took a year off. During my time away, I started realizing just how much I missed taking care of children and watching them grow.

A little more about me and my program

I have been in the childcare profession for over 11 years. In my life, I have thought about doing so many careers but they all had to do with children. Me having my own childcare business is and has been a great option for me.

I do have a bachelor's degree in Family Life and Child Development. In my opinion, it is not the most important thing when it comes to providing good care to children. It has definitely helped me when it comes to the way I interact with the children and set up my program though.

I will be licensed again in mid February(hopefully!) and I am excited to meet new children!

Diaper changes and Toileting

Diapers are changed every two hours. If a child is potty trained they will go whenever they have to. The potty training process has to be a collaboration between the parents and daycare provider. If the child is working on potty training at home, I will be working with them to go frequently throughout the day at daycare.
