Green Tea and Spice Cashews

I love toasted cashews. They are naturally delicious and make a great snack.

I came up with this recipe today using Bigelow's green tea with lemon. They came out wonderful and I wanted to share it with you!

Green tea and spice cashews

Ingredients:

*1 cup of raw cashews

*1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder

*1 tsp of cayenne pepper

*2 tbsp of honey

*1 Bigelow green tea with lemon teabag

*Salt (to sprinkle)

*Cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Line a plate with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. Put some oil in a pan (I used 1.5 tbsp) and let it heat up a little bit on medium-high heat.

  3. Add in the cashews, turmeric, cayenne pepper and honey. Stir it around in the pan.

  4. Let it cook until the cashews are lightly toasted. About 3 minutes (make sure they do not burn!)

  5. Take the pan off the heat and scoop the cashews onto the prepared plate.

  6. Sprinkle the cashews with about 3/4 of the contents of the green tea bag and a little salt.

  7. Let cool a bit and then devour. Your hands may turn a little yellow but it is nothing some good washing won't fix!

That's it!

This is a super easy recipe that you can enjoy time and time again. My whole family (even my 6 year old) loves it.

If you try it, let me know what you think!
