Learning Community

The learning community offers an alternative education and runs from 8:00 AM-5:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Homeschoolers can bring in their own curriculum to work on during the day or parents can opt-in to using the curriculum we provide. They will all  participate in activities, receive 1:1 academic support and get group instruction in the non-core subjects  (music, art, science, P.E., health and social studies. There is a part-time(Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and a full-time (Monday-Friday) option. The learning community is for K-3rd graders.

Early Morning Care

We offer early morning care from 7:00 AM-8:00 AM. This can be for learning community members and children who attend Gibbs or Holy Spirit and walk to school. A basic breakfast is served right away at 7:00. Early morning care can be contracted or occasional and serves children in k-5th grade.

Occasional Days

We offer drop-in and trial days (8:00 AM- 5:30 PM) if we have spots open. Drop-in days can be for part-time learning community members on their days off, public/private school students on non-school days and homeschoolers in the Rochester community.

Trial days are for prospective learning community members. They will get to experience what a day at Forward Leap is like so parents/guardians can figure out if they want to enroll them into the program.
